Internet readers must pay

Sure, tease me with an article header and then charge me to access the details, but, I warn you, if the details are not satisfactory, I am going to want my money back, and if I don't get my money back, I will not be back.

what exactly will a subscription based service offer which other alternatives currently offer for free? If I can get my daily dose of news off sites like twitter, facebook, google news, finance24, news24, iol, bbc, reuters, blogs, etc, why would I possibly want to pay for what's already free and widely available from multiple sources?

Ditto to the above comments. This WILL come back to bite him in the a$$.Unless everyone else follows suit, in which case we can simply use smaller independent sources like blogs etc.

once again, the corporate greedies think no further than their noses. this is not the way to do it.

Same philosophy as Telkom - try to make as much money as you can and only have a small user base.

soo interesting... he is really going to have to make it worthwhile for me to decide to read a newspaper i have to pay for...

I can't imagine first singing in before i can actually read the news... what crap is this?
