Internet Solutions Data Centre outage

I saw it came back up just now - waiting for comment from IS about the outage.
 
I heard that radial router problems were to blame - also heard high latency continues.

Is engineers continue resolution activities.

Ah, back online!!

I was busy on a client's site, then 5min later it wouldn't work :eek:
Then I found out I wasn't to blame....
 
Apparently it was a backup generator failure.... same as last time when the power failed, only I heard it was MTN not IS

You couldn't access it via SAIX or any international bandwidth either. I checked. From my server in the US and the UK and I had a friend in Thailand try as well.
 
Ah yes, sorry about that, thought it'd be a bit weird IS went down because I was pretty sure it was the entire hetzner data center in MTN's business park thing...? :p
