Internet Solutions secures restoration bandwidth

My download speed is still lagging which makes me wonder how true this statment is.

I wonder what gaurentee there will be in the future between Seacom and there clients. If I had a business that was solely dependant on seacom and I had either none or strongly affected connectivity I would be pissed if I lost money.

I mean what do these people do they just shrug and go oh well.

I think real redundancy would take time to implement - but to say the service will be down till the 22 July is unacceptable in my opinion...

vaalpens this isn't irc go back to lurk position ;D

I just discovered that my SAIX pre-paid account at WA was capped, despite their reporting system showing me that I had only used about 70% of the gig. They have a truly terrible client interface there compared to other ISP's.

SAIX was certainly not fine in Cape Town. Our unshaped account suffered with latency during the initial period of the outage.

IS-backed accounts and bandwidth are so abysmally unreliable and laggy normally, I'm surprised anyone noticed that Seacom was down.
