What do you use and why?

I've been using Internet Explorer for years. I've tried Mozilla Firefox a few times and installed Safari now for the first time.

I must say, I like Safari. Have to get used to it though.

PS. Safari is lightning fast.

FF mainly, secondly Opera (used use Opera full time, but it's buggy with my extended use) and thirdly there's a browser called Maxthon, which is almost like IE, just faster ;)

WebKit - Safari's development build and wow is it fast. :D

Thanks to Telkom I don't have to worry about my browser not rendering the page fast enough!

Currently use Firefox on my Mac as until version 3 Safari didn't have tabbed browsing.

Safari had tabbed browsing since version 2 (if not prior to that).

You learn something new everyday! I don't like the fact that the refresh and stop buttons change. I click twice and then sit and wait....

Firefox for myself, although, when I was playing around on a friends mac, I really liked Safari (not enough to swap, mind you =/)

Opera.

Why: Too many little things but Speed Dial, instant Back and Forward, constant new features with updates and it's the fastest browser for the PC. (Meaning not vs Safari on Mac, but it might be faster than that too :p)

Also built in Bittorrent, feeds reader, IRC client, and the side panels and the Wand. Ahh you should probably go to their site before I think of too many more.

Firefox all the way here, been using it for years now. Why all the extensions make using it worth while. It adheres to web standards. Its far more customizable than other browsers and its available on a lot of platforms.

Maxthon (2.08). Superfunctional, uses the IE rendering engine so very compatible.

As an alternative, Opera 9.26, most stable and fastest browser I've used, with the best implementation of ad-blocking (though Maxthon's is excellent too).

Another proud Maxthon user here.

The tabbed browsers got me started, and since then I've just loved it. Ad blocking, IE compatible without being IE itself, and pretty darn fast.

I don't really like FireFox but I use it now and then.

I would like to introduce some more machines to Internet Explorer 7 at my school network, but the interface change will be a bit hard to swallow for some of the more basic users who are scared of everthing.

The problem was (iirc) is that it wasnt enabled by default so you have to do so in the preferences.
