Inverter Battery losing capacity

I do not have a multimeter no.
when I connect the battery to my father's inverter, everything works well.
that's why I think the problem is with the inverter?

You got a cheap, no name chinese inverter that looks like amp for a car?

are you sure the battery post connections are tight?

it is a 1KW inverter. I am running a Hisence 70 inch, and yes, only 1 single 100ah battery
Can the inverter take panels?

And is the settings right to charge from eskom

Otherwise it is one of two things like others said , either bought a dead battery
Or the inverter isn't actually charging the battery

Lead acid isn't something that likes sitting on a shelf
Hence why inverters have a float to counter self discharge

so if you bought a battery that sat on the self
self discharging too deep it could be a dud now
