Mine gets occasionaly loud for a minute or 2. But it is in the garage. So dont bother me or I dont hear it unless I am in the garage.

there is a slight price difference, usually recommend it for those that want to have it installed in their living space and dont have a garage. Some folks are a bit much when it comes to new sounds in a living space and especially something completely alien.

Mine is in pantry and you can hear it in kitchen behind closed doors.
Usually for for few minutes, not really troublesome.

Depends on where you want to mount it. I would not recommend mounting it above your bed.

So what is the problem with the noise it makes, does someone sleep in the garage?

Hybrids with fans usually get pretty loud depending on the load and charging. But if in garage there should be no issue. Could always add an additional well ventilated cupboard.

Just has a monster of a heatsink in the back.

Checking with the supplier also if they can send me the data sheet for the 8.8kw one because im finding jack on their site.

Mine's in the garage. Fanned 8kWh unit - can't hear it in the house.

If I'm tinkering in the garage it can be a tad noisy when it kicks in - so definitely keep it away from living space.

Called the supplier now, this was eating at me. There is 2 versions of the fan out there. One with and "Fanless" ( Not really fanless ) Has a small fan externally and a very small fan that operates to just get air moving across the heatsink fins at the back. Both fans are placed at points on the path of the find that generate the most heat but was mentioned that the fans are barely audible.

My mistake for calling it fanless sorry folks.
