Aah, cool. Must agree - it's funny Apple didn't include it for the iPad 1 - it's not like it's gonna slow it down or something... Maybe they just forgot to add it to the iPad 1 in this release - guess we'll know with the next release ;)
 
Things will unfold with new releases. I'm VERY happy with what I've got already. I expected a lot less stability but so far it's very stable.
 
iOS 5b1 just installed and activated. Busy with restore....

So after the initial boot up I ran through the new start-up sequence. Pretty quick. After restoring the phone backup I am having some issues with iTunes and syncing, but after a few restarts of iTunes and a reboot of the phone it looks like it's working. I think there is some work to be done with this new background sync feature. Before you couldn't touch your phone while it was syncing. Now you can unlock it and use it (while connected via cable). There is even a page under settings where you can check the syncing status on the phone.

Yip, can be a little slow if you using the pone whilst syncing but still glad it's now an option ;)
 
This iOS 5 beta on my iPad 1 seems to have issues with pictures/photos. My photo album bombs whenever I select a newly saved photo and a wallpaper app wouldn't launch. A drawing app the kids use also bombs when they save their creations.

The web browser works much better and can now handle some active content on pages better. The shoutbox on a blog I often visit now works for the first time.

Notifications way way better.

Spell checker = great.

Twitter photo send integration a def plus.

The order (and album covers) on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 are screwy, but the app still works for me :)

Must agree - notifications are AWESOME!! Love how iMessage is integrated too :)
 
I just watched the ios5 video looks really good especially the notification feature.Now for the waiting game
