IOS 6.1.3 and native GMail iPhone App

Hi there. I upgraded my iPhone 4S to IOS 6.1.3 and now my native Apple GMail app wont start up.
Have had lots of problems with this iPhone 4S. It will not connect to a WiFi or BlueTooth connection with security and also is giving MS Exchange security certificate errors. cannot connect it to iTunes to back up so will have to face up to loosing all contacts. Is there any suggestion on what to do?

This phone is only 10 months old too.

Is there a way to connect to Gmail or iCloud to upload all the contacts on the iPhone 4S before a factory reset without iTunes?

Those errors for 4S should of been fixed in 6.1 and 6.1.2.

Since you're on 6.1.3 something else is at play here. Can you not backup to iCloud via the device?
If not try iFunbox and SSH into your iPhone and manually extract any info you want. Then I suggest you download the iOS 6.1.3 IPSW (http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS6.1/091-2611.20130319.Fr54r/iPhone4,1_6.1.3_10B329_Restore.ipsw)
After that click restore your iPhone. This SHOULD fix all your errors.
