iOS 8 is looking great. I will probably be replacing my SIII with the new iPhone at the end of the year.
The consistent OS updates of iOS are what I really like. I got 18 months of delayed updates on my SIII and now if I want to get a newer version of Android I have to install buggy custom roms because Samsung wont let developers know how their Exynos processor works. You also then loose half of the features that are tied into that terrible abortion called TouchWizz.
Samsung still hasn't fixed the slow dialer on TouchWizz for the SIII and I won't even get started on the build quality!
Apple seems to have fixed and introduced everything I need. The only thing I use my phone for is email, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, navigation and browsing the web.
I had to use an iPhone 5 for a while last week and it was pleasant.
I have never had to use my phone as a flash drive and MTP does suck, it never works on the lab's Linux PCs. We live in the year 2014 in a 3rd world country, we can use Dropbox now.
I have never had to root my phone.
I just want it to work, I couldn't care about changing advanced settings on my phone and making it look different.
I hate having to look for wakelocks.
It seems Apple is listening to other phone OS users and allowing a little more "freedom" with 3rd party keyboards and the new copied Android intent feature my main concerns about iOS are now gone.
Symbian -> Blackberry OS -> Andorid -> iOS -> Whats going to be next?
