Ok, so it seems like 512K users have been sorted the way they deserve to be - while not having a direct impact on my package(128K) I'm glad to see this - it means progress.

Personally I don't think this is the best way to seperate user pools but its probably the cleanest cut solution at present... I must give Hugo a call and find out more ;-)

As always ProASM - thanks .. this help me gain some more understanding ;-) .... If you have time could you try the same to a non-local South african site eg ... UUNet's DNS server - 196.7.0.138

And then the same on an international site... London Internet Exchange - www.linx.net

This will then allow us to see if traffic is routed differently on the different packages.

I find that the cleanest way to check your ip address is go to http://checkip.dyndns.org/
Mine is and always has been 66.18......

From http://checkip.dyndns.org/

Current IP Address: 196.35.170.12

Thanks a lot....

There are some differences but that is probably due to IS's multi path routing....

Lets hope the changes being implemented keeps things on track..

Anyone else on 512K ? Please report if your IP's have also changed ?

R

Okay, I see that it has changed. Originally, with some IP checkers I also got 196.........

So, what does this mean anyway. As long as my dynsite and dyndns can pick up my IP address, who cares.

Maybe the reason they changed it is because I blocked all 66.18....addresses from trying to access my computer.lol
