Ipad 3... worth it to upgrade?

The REALQUESTION is, if you don't have an iPad should you put the money towards a bigger HD or a 3G device OR should you get the new iPad with it's relatively better screen.
 
I'd go better screen. A lot of space on an ipad type device is overrated unless you are someone who travels a lot.
 
A rule of thumb is you should upgrade if you watch/stream video on iPad a lot to be most benefit for the Retina screen. Otherwise hold on your iPad 2 and wait for the next one.

Well, after a few days with both the new iPad and the ipad2 (as well as the first gen model) I can say for sure that 2x apps, like google+, look way better on the new iPad.
 
Yeah I don't get what all the fuss is about, of course its worth the upgrade purely for the screen, its the freaking screen....the thing you look at every time you switch it on... there cannot be a more noticeable upgrade (This includes all devices btw).

If someone cannot see the difference then they need to go see an optometrist.
 
I notice immediately by looking at the screen whether someone is holding the new ipad or the previous generation. The difference is blatantly obvious.
 
The screen isn't that amazing - if you have the spare cash around, do it.

Otherwise you may as well keep the iPad 2 as it's hardly an upgrade

If you've spent a few days using the new iPad with the retna screen and can't see the difference I would also suggest you consider consulting an optometrist.

The camera, hotspot, and voice dictation also make for a worthwhile upgrade.

The only specialist Dolby needs to consult is a proctologist.

Totally agree with this. The screen is okay on the ipad3, but meh. Not worth the upgrade.

Im happy to swap an ipad 3 for anyone who has a new transformer :D Would prefer a more functional device.

I didn't say I can't see a difference, I said the difference is not as WOW as iFolk like to pretend.

Remember all the jagged BS icons that were shown pre launch?
Remember the OMG! WOW! ORGASM! that everyone spoke about upfront?

How about when the users that had both told us it was different but not THAT amazing?
The video in the street where people couldn't even tell the difference?

It's a 318i to a 323i upgrade .... noticeable, but not quite the 318i to M3 that most iFolk like to believe

This is what iFolk and Apple like to punt - sadly though. my icons aren't really that size in real life and the differences not quite as noticeable

Ghoti is a known hater and rabid android fanboy. I have both in my household and the there is a difference and it is very noticeable. I don't about the orgasm but it is wow.

Perhaps you should try using yours for something other than staring at the icons. You might appreciate it more.

Ah - so you're saying I need to LOOK for the difference?
Like different aspects to compare and notice?
And also - from what I hear - I need to do a side by side comparrison?

That really is ground breaking right there ...
