iPad selling fast at Incredible Connection

The day I stopped taking Core seriously was the day they told me to jailbreak my iphone.
 
Tablets are really getting mainstream now. I will still wait for the Asus Honeycomb that should be out in April, but if it is not as cheap as the iPad 16gb, I might get the 16gb iPad. My top end is R 4500 for a tablet.
 
This is brilliant, i cannot wait to bug my dad to get an ipad for his dad who is 80 + years old (cannot remember exact age :/). Well done Core & IC :)
 
Phoned incredible connection in PE (Moffet) to see if they can order one from one of the branches that Core group said would have stock. The clueless twat on the phone was convinced it wasnt launched yet

Clearly i have been reminded why i dont shop and that stupid store :)

Any online retailers stocking this? (Digicape isnt stocking it online by the looks of it)

Nope nothing yet will let u know if i have any luck... not sure why PE is being ignored by CORE... even bloem and nelspruit have it
 
Ya ya. Not good without a data package in RSA. Wifi not that freely available. And not cell C as it does not support 900hz......:sick:

Then how the hell did they quote the percentages of stock sold?
Not that I care for anything Apple related, but if they're going to throw %'s around in their litlle PR article, some numbers would be handy.
Having sold 100 over the weekend does not really make for good reading :rolleyes:

My Grandpa got one a few months ago, he's 86. He loves it!
 
I'm curoous as to what people are using their iPads for. To me they aren't as useful as a netbook/notebook.

While the rumour mills tend to get things roughly right regarding upcoming Apple updates and releases, methinks this may be rather a bold and detailed public announcement to make considering Apple have yet to even specify a date for future product announcements, let alone specifying what said products will be, their tech specs and their respective release schedules!

Sounds like someone has his eye on Steve Jobs' empty corner office in Cupertino ;-)

Not sure about the others, I will get my tablet for the following:

1. Read my digital comics in full color on a big enough screen
2. browse the web while watching tv
3. read my eBooks on while at work, my kindle is for reading ebooks in the bed
4. use it as a second screen, hopefully my honeycomb will be able to do it like the iPad can
5. watch quick youtube videos if i feel like it, while sitting around doing other stuff

So all in all, will use it as a 'toy' and not as a business tool. For that the Netbook / Notebook will still be better.

There are a lot of people out there using a Netbook / Notebook just as a toy.... eg just using is for web/facebook and email.
