An iPad a day…

Doctors in Hong Kong are replacing the traditional clipboard with the iPad 2 in what is believed to be a first for Asian hospitals, a news report said Wednesday.

I looked at the title (before reading article) and thought was the most epically elablorate competition of all time :o

Seems as if Hong Kong also heard about the FNB promotion! :)
I much Lol'ed.
I'm actually debating with myself whether to take the FNB iPad or wait and see if they (FNB) eventually add the Galaxy/Xoom tablets.

No harm in waiting if thats what you really want, but you really cant go wrong with the ipad 2.. I use mine on a day to day basis!

Wonder if the patients will be allowed to play angry birds? That will make them feel better!

Lets hope the battery doesn't go flat at a critical time.

Coming into the morgue, a doctor asks his colleague what the status of a particular cadaver is;

"It's frozen", the man replied.

"Yes, I know it's frozen, but what is its status? Has an autopsy been performed?", the doctor asked.

"No, I mean, my iPad, it's frozen..."

I love how technology is moving us into the future predicted by science fiction back in the day. As a kid I remember watching movies where they had hand held touch screen devices that allowed video calls and thought "how cool would that be if it were true".

now can we please have the cars that drive themselves......

Cool, wonder if patients get to sync their medical history to their iPhone.

A national carier has been using netbooks for over a year now, for the pilots to do the weight and balance, trim and fuel calculations for the aircraft before take off and to carry manuals and maps etc on the netbook. Quite revolutionary!

Another national carier is considering issueing ipads next year to the flightdeck for the same thing.

There is no handwriting software yet that an read a dr handwriting.
