iPhone 11 Pro launched

I'm getting less and less comfortable with Google hoovering up my data (or the Chinese government), but I don't think I want to pay R20k for a phone.

iPhone 11 is going to sell like hot cakes. It's the one I'd get. Starting at $699? Not bad...

Would be great if the watch worked fully without needing an iPhone. They could actually sell more and even services if they just allowed it to work with any smartphone.

Fair enough. My fault for holding the view that a company that can put their laptops and premier tablets onto one charger type could do the same for their phones.

The press invitations saying"By innovation only" are an insult to what Apple used to be.

The gaming subscription looks cool but the new button for it in the App Store is going to annoy everyone who doesn't subscribe. $5pm for Apple TV+ isn't exactly a steal when there will be just about nothing to watch on it for a while after launch, and when it looked to only be available on Apple devices. The fact that Apple is giving away a year of the service to everyone who buys an Apple device says a lot about how much they think it's worth. 6 months of Apple Music would be way more useful.

At least ios13 is decent so far, really enjoying it.
As for their devices cant complain, boring but just works.

I get all my wife's hand me downs, sooo when her contract is up for renewal come January, leaning towards android.........I'll get her iPhone 8+, she will get new Droid phone.

Not entirely true. For starters, the iPad went from 9.7 inches to 10.2 inches. That is a design change. The new iPhone 11 looks also different with it's 3 cameras. Give credit where credit is due.

tariffs + everyone knows the 5G iteration with usb-c next year will be better..

Not sure if serious. The 10.2" iPad body is just the old iPad Pro shape. And the camera design looks like crap. If the image quality holds up better against Android flagships this time round, it won't be the case with night mode. The shots they showed on stage were totally blown out and awful.
