Also ordered from iStore - 12 Pro Pacific Blue and it says awaiting stock - suspect this is just a pre-order allocation process.

They will close the pre-orders when they reach the cap of launch stock; I've seen them do that before.

I think the free iCarePlus+ was a decent bonus.

Looks like it, yes.

Did a quick check, between both sites for the Samsung Z Flip and both are listed as the same price

Hopefully, everyone who ordered before this email get this too. Makes the istore price a little better with it also including icare.

I was thinking of chancing going on launch day to get ... but now this feels maybe worth trying. I asked and they said would start shipping on 18th or something. Not sure if I'd get that day ... if I buy something I'm one of the ppl who want it immediately
 
Preordered an iPhone 12 Pro 128GB from myistore on Telkom FreeMe 1.5GB for R1099pm x 24 with Free iCare Plus and hopefully a R1000 voucher. At R 26300 - R1999 (icare) - R1000 (voucher) = R 23300. This is cheaper than buying it cash, nevermind the data and minutes bundled. Seems like a 0% financed deals.

Same here, w.r.t want my device immediately. I hope they ship, for delivery on the 18th and not ship on the 18th only :/ Then would only receive the device earliest Monday, more likely Tuesday or Wednesday :(

yeah, I did some "maths" on the Pro Max 128. On CC or Personal Loan, repayments would be +- 1200 a month (pending interest rate) But the packages via the Network Providers are at about +-R1000 for the device.

So if you look at the Telkom deal you mentioned, the R99 is for the 1.5Gb and minutes and that comes out cheaper than straight up buying the device on CC or Pers Loan.

So it must be a 0% interest rate on the device. I guess they want you on their network, going over your limits, thats where they make their money

I'm gonna be the moer in if you pay so much early and wait until midnight and they pitch up here the following Wednesday...:mad:
 
Anyone else wanting to trade in an old iPhone? Also how will this work given the online pre-ordering?
 
Ja so ... even though I want the phone on the day it comes out ... just cause I do ... I took the plunge and ordered with iStore online, dunno if will be one of the 1st 400 to score the R1k voucher but hey ... if I am so be it, if not, then I'm not. If the phone arrives on the 18th it does, if not then ... hey ... I can wait. In store pickup would amazing but we know this is SA. At least I will have a new device soonish, one only hopes.
 
What is it with everyone wanting it on the day? Are their current phones broken?
 
And if you pre-order the iPhone 12 with Takelot you can get it on launch day with a R400 voucher lol. But currently they don't have the Pro models it seems.
