Mine is scanned to cage in CPT. RTT said they tried delivering it today but when scanned this morning they were blocked with a message that said "Not allowed. Deliver on 18th" so the orders that are ready to go are being placed in cages for safety I guess.

Yeah because according to Apple (Not Core) the whole world would implode and self destruct if a single device is dared activated before the 18th in the southern tip of Africa :ROFL: Dunno something to do with the poles flipping...

iPhone 12's are also on the new government lockdown list together with beaches - no activations allowed period. Bheki Cele is watching ...
 
Haven't got courier SMS as yet see on iStore site mine was "sent to courier at 10:07" ... hope it can get on JNB-CPT flight today ... you never know - miracles sometimes happen.
 
Does anyone know how pre-ordering works with a trade in?
How do they valuate the phone etc...

I went for a valuation on Sunday to the Sandton Drive store and got a value (valid then only) but I suspect that I may need to go into the physical store tomorrow to get a re-valuation done as well as to get the device...

Their customer care number (087 360 2339) doesn't seem to work

I need to sell my wife's iPhone 11 128gb which has a hairline crack on the screen. I'm not sure how much to ask for it and had thought about trading it at the iStore. Do you or anyone else have an idea of how much value that would take off the price?
 
Also the 21st on my iPhone 12 Pro... def not doing the pre-order through iStore again.

iStore would trade you 9k if it was good. The crack brings it down to 2k haha. Perhaps consider having it repaired and then trade.

The screen repair is R4,500 so I'm just trying to work out whether it's worth it. Will probably get more advertising it I suppose.
 
So I just took my phone into iStore Sandton Drive...
The guy offered me R459... you read that right and on Sunday I was offered R2500.

How the hell does that work?
 
I just got a SMS saying that my iStore order will be delivered by 6pm tomorrow, whoohooo !!! Time will tell
