12 Pro Max Graphite or Silver

Really want a pro max and am overdue for an upgrade (7+), but the signal issues sound like a train wreck and fresh reports of it keep rolling in on the reddit threads about it

Kinda hard to pull the trigger on a 1k+ phone with that - if both calls and data regularly disconnect that's a bit of a show stopper

But surely if its not a hardware issue it is pretty minor and will be fixed with Software?

Kinda similar to the PS5 and the issues it has and they are all software related. But the Xbox 360 red ring of death was a hardware issue.

Reminds me of the iPhone 4 storm in a teacup.

I currently have the same issue, but it’s rubbish Vodacom coverage.

Nobody knows (aside from maybe apple).

iPhone 11 > 12 did switch the radio from intel to qualcomm so it being a hardware issue isn't impossible.

I'm wondering the same. If it just gets delivered on launch day then I'd rather just go to a store and pick one up than wait.

Asked iStore in the chat this week and they said there is no pre order process. But that those on the in store waiting list would get preference to stock but basically it is first come first serve.

The iStore website chat is notoriously terrible with information as they have the online department and then the in store department (you choose before starting the chat). Each have different stock levels and information on said stock. For the same exact preorder question, the one department told me X and then the other department told me Y. The info you were told is incorrect at least, they are doing pre-orders on Friday the 11th as several iStore staff have said this and their social media team have replied to those that have asked as well. Vodacom is doing preorders too, and so is MTN, all on the 11th. The preorder people are also getting preference over the waiting list folks, since preorders are paid upfront. So order of stock allocation will be preorder then in store purchase on launch, then waiting list.

The question no one can answer is when they deliver the preorders though. That’s what I wanna know! So if anyone does know, do share

Thanks for the share! Guess I need to get myself at the store on the 11th or will preorders only be online? Furthermore I really hope if one preorders one can get the device at your nearest store on the 18th?

I was at the iStore near me yesterday, and I was able to add myself to the pre-order on their system with the help of a consultant, apparently it's only available in-store, not online for everyone...

Just added to the pre-order list, no payment. So I guess it's still a first come first serve basis.

Yeah first come first serve. But the preorders will be online as the CEO dude of iStore said in their release statement. Those that pay upfront on Friday the 11th will get first picking So you don’t need to go to the store itself to preorder. I do know that the iStore themselves won’t be doing upgrade or contract preorders, only cash, and that contract pricing etc will be released on launch day. This info is on their social media pages.

I'm be going the new contract route, so if I understand correctly iStore won't be doing Vodacom contracts this time around? I will need to go through Vodacom directly?
