In theory I want to make my primary MTN number an eSIM and then pop my Telkom Mobile SIM in. That should work?

Run my calls etc on MTN and do cheaper mobile data on Telkom?
 
I see Discovery Bank is offering the iPhone 12 phones on their iPhone benefit. I still have an old Discovery bank credit card but considering upgrading now to discovery bank to take them up on the offier. Has anyone made use of the benefit before? Can you explain to me how this works? I would prefer buying the phone cash than putting it on budget and paying interest.
 
iStore website got updated with less preorder options. Used to be 12 different models for the 12 Pro Max.

I see most of the 128GB models are gone.

My order still says awaiting stock.

Are you buying cash? Contract pre-orders are like a blackbox, no idea what is happening.

Yeah, no contract for me. My order was in just after midnight when it opened. Just interesting to see what models are falling away first on the preorder options.
 
Also got an sms from Vodacom regarding the device I've chosen being out of stock.
 
Ok I think they may be saying that for everyone as it’s only gonna be in stock from the 18th.

I don't think so. When I got my confirmation call the agent mistakenly thought it to be the blue variant and said it would be delivered next week Monday/Tuesday. When I corrected him regarding the colour he said they're expecting inventory of that colour in January only.
 
Cool, got the email from iStore that I was one of the 1st 400 pre-order customers and got the R1k voucher.

When did you get the email and what time did you order :)

I ordered about 7.30 Friday morning and thought I might make the cut. Haven't heard anything though.

I ordered at 9:37am on Friday, cash purchase of the iPhone 12. Got the email about 10 min ago

Hmm, surely I should also get an email since I ordered 0.33. Nothing yet on my side.

Nice one. I haven't heard anything but judging by your time I was a couple of hours previous, so fingers crossed. I paid with my card.
 
Their marketing email about the R1000 was sent out at 9am-ish. I won't be surprised if our orders that were before then are not counted in their system.

Probably. But would rather have my phone on time than a R1000 voucher.
