12 Pro Max, Love the screen size and watching series on it (TV+'s Earth at Night in Colour is amazing, paired with Airpods Pro and the Spatial Audio, just sucks you right in). Love the camera, not as big as a jump from 11 Pro as I was hoping, but a slight hop. Night shots are better though, along with the stabilization (I have naturally shaky hands). Battery life is insane. Sitting on 67% now and I took it off charge +-8 this morning. Taken tons of pics of my daughter today.
Cons: Weight I need to adjust to, as the way I held my 11 Pro (non max) doesn't translate 100% across. Need to do an extra shimmy with my hand, to reach the top left corner when using it with one hand. Size in pocket makes it a bit difficult to carry everything with me. Have to dedicate 1 pocket to the phone now. Used to be phone and Wallet, but cant do that anymore

12 Mini, Loving the size of this also. The easy one handed usage. Camera is decent, just lacking the extra zoom functionality, but TBH< I mostly use the Wide camera and hardly ever used zoom, but I guess its nice to have when I need it. Weight is almost "scary", device feels "cheap" when compared to 12 Pro or Pro Max. It feels like one of those dummy phones they have on display. Easy to forget that it is in your pocket.

Overall, both are awesome devices, I am just conflicted which one I keep and which to give to my Wife. They each have their own appeals. Thinking of going the mini route, because of the nostalgia from the iPhone 5 days, but I am torn. asked my wife to give me until Monday night to make a choice
 
For me the 12 Pro Max just has so much more screen real estate. Small things make a huge difference. Such as the emoji and dictation buttons having its own dedicated space below the keyboard in the bottom corners.
The Camera low light performance is where it really stands out.
Loud speaker sound and clarity has definitely been improved dramatically from the older iPhones.

The battery to me appears excellent, FaceID has really blown me away with its reliability from strange angles and dark rooms! The only thing it still requires in the pandemic time was a fingerprint sensor but once again we are not gonna wear masks forever.
 
Do any of you who have received your preorder live in a gated estate?

If yes did the driver give you a call upon arrival?

I’m asking because my preorder has been sent out for delivery twice and I’m yet to still receive it.

They are out for delivery again and I’m not sure if I’m suppose to now go outside and just wait for them.

Complex yes but just phoned the unit number inside and came to the unit quickly.

if you wait outside then you might be waiting the whole day, remember they could deliver anytime between 8am to 5pm, they are not ubereats where you can see that they are 15 minutes away, rather go to you security and let them know you are expecting a delivery today from (eg-Ram couriers) and to be on the lookout.

Phone them to confirm you address. It’s probably wrong.
 
Unfortunately our estate Is one of those where I’ll have to know the drivers number beforehand so I can send him an access code else he won’t be able to enter.
Doubt the security guard will be able to do anything about it.

All my other parcels I order online usually the driver either calls or sends me a sms to let me know they outside the gate.

Tried calling RTT Durban’s branch manager but he’s not answering(It’s a Sunday so can understand).

Guess will have to wait and see what happens.

If it helps, I received a call at my place. There is just a gate at the entrance of the estate, no guards or buzzers. And they called to say they’re at the gate.

Yeah, I received my phone yesterday at around 11AM. I phoned every number on RTT's website to get them to deliver. Finally resorted to Social media. and then finally they delivered.
 
Has anyone been able to pick up their device from RTT directly?
 
Just went and looked at the Istore. Are ya'lls phones also missing the 5G antenna?

Yisis.. ok looks like I’ll need to resort to the same tactic else I’ll go to their warehouse tomorrow.
 
I bought some Digitronics case & screen cover from takealot and its terrible :laugh:
What screen protectors and cases did you guys go for?
