By the way, it also worked on the Afrihost APN as well, if anyone wanted to know.

This was the highest download speed I achieved of the 5 tests, however they were all close to this result anyway.

I am assuming this is on MTN? Are their speed tests not free? Or is it only for prepaid?
 
Wife won’t be using the 12 as she is happy with her 11 still.

I decided to check into it properly and really noticed how light it is compared to her phone, or even my XS max.

Is it the stainless steel that makes the others so heavy? I’m not keen to use it if the edges are soft because I don’t rock cases and the XS has been a machine after many many high drops and falls. Grants it has a hairline on the screen in the corner now.

App doesn't work properly though.
Using dual sim and it picks up the network operator as the physical sim while data is eSim

Still happy with it. The rear plastic is durable. Shown no scratches and little to no fingerprint marks. I use my Pro Max with one hand easily.

Sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to give some feedback on my case as well. I got the QDOS hybrid clear case for the iPhone 12 Pro Max from the iStore, together with the QDOS screen protector. I’m very very happy with both and they weren’t too expensive. The first day I got my phone, I mistakenly knocked it off the kitchen counter (I almost passed out from the shock lol), but it was perfectly fine thanks to the case. It’s quite a thin case (thinner than I usually get) but still very protective. It has those ‘airbags’ in each corner. The back side has a lip and the camera bump has one too. This camera lip is quite large for protection. The front side also has a small lip and the screen protector is just protected within. It works well with the QDOS screen protector.
It doesn’t attract fingerprints at all surprisingly and has antiglare microdot technology and antiyellow properties. It also has a completely hard polycarbonate back and softer semi flexible sides, which is exactly what I wanted. The case is one thickness around the phone (it doesn’t puff out at the corners).

messaged iStore online this morning (for the umpteenth time), and got told that they're expecting stock by the end of the month. The online webpage for the 12 Pro used to have a little red box that stated "ships mid Jan" but that has been removed. Also, it has officially been a month, today since release in SA. Dik frustrating.
