So underwhelmed with this iPhone 12. I was gonna use it over my XS max but The wife should just take it. Will either flog her iPhone 11 or keep as a spare.
Another reason is that I have esim working on the XS max and I need to call Vodacom to get a new QR code. Mission.

That’s interesting. I’ve come from a XS Max as well, and didn’t think I’d notice much of difference in the 12 Pro Max, however the difference that I’ve experienced is huge and I’m loving this phone more and more each day!
It’s the sharp edges I think, but maybe I need to max it again... I don’t use cases so I just put a dbrand skin on it, maybe it’s not on right but it feels very sharp
Oh I see. I can’t comment on that really, but I would imagine that it may be difficult to hold ‘naked’. You should try an ultra thin case maybe?
I’ll give a case a shot, ordered one, just find it a little pointless with a case on sometimes. And makes it too big, even ultra thins .

I went to 2 x Vodacom stores, 2 x Cellucity stores, 2 x Telkom stores and 1 x iStore yesterday.
They all had stock of the iPhone 12 and mini, but none of the 12 Pro or Max - they all said Apple has stock shortages, but they expect a stock shipment in Feb.
It's annoying. I really want the 12 Max, but tired of waiting. Might just stick to Android and get the OnePlus 9.

I'm waiting for the next one. I was told stock would be replenished in Dec. Never happened. Then it was mid Jan. Never happened. Now mid Feb...sure thing.
Pointless having it for 6 months before the latest is released. Hopefully the supply chain has improved with all these vaccinations happening around the world.

It's just us being screwed as usual. I was in Dubai when (I'm sure it was) the iPhone 6S came out and there were big shortages in SA. Dubai had them everywhere including in frikkin vending machines as you enter the shopping malls.
If you speaking about CORE, SCM does not feature in their business model. They are absolutely pathetic at it!
