Madness, similar situations with 11 series early last year. I remember last year shortly before lockdown began I was calling every Vodashop and Vodacom4U to get my 11 Pro Max (replacing the Xs Max that was stolen) as insurance had approved the phone replacement, and almost every where there was no stock due the lockdowns in the other countries like China at the time, managed to find one at a Vodashop in Blairgowrie Plaza Shopping Centre, lady told me she literally had 3 left as she had mistakenly over ordered, her mistake was my luck lol.
 
Doesn't Apple leave these in pubs anymore for journalists to 'find' & expose/create hype?

iPhone 4 was an exception to the rule

Now insiders just leak renders with exact schematics for 3rd party accessories lol
 
Just bought the graphite iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB. Really impressive phone! Love it.

Coming from Android, this is my first dip into iOS since the iPhone 4 10 years ago.

Just wanted to know how other's iPhone 12 Pro's have held up cosmetically since they got it?

Does the stainless steel scratch easily?

I have a cover, but worried about grit getting in and marring the polished surface.

I have the PM Pacific Blue since it landed in SA. I only keep it in a case and no screen protector.

Everything is still 100%. Not even minor scratches or scuff marks.

No cover and a screen protector. No damage or anything on the phone. Screen protector has a few minor scratches. Apart from being a fingerprint magnet, it is perfect. No scratches dents or anything and I have dropped it multiple times as well as my daughter throwing it around.

Envy…. I get to experience 5G when I’m at the near by mall in my province, otherwise I’m on silly old LTE….. also MTN Corporate Consumers still slacking and no support for eSim’s yet!!! At least for my Apple Watch it’s a problem, still trying to figure out eSIM for my iPhone…

Send a mail to [email protected] with title of eSIM support or something like that. They take up to 5 days to respond, so make sure you provide them all the details you need, otherwise they will ask and then you wait another 5 days.

State that it is a primary sim swap for an iPhone and not a watch (they dont support watch eSIM for corporate clients yet)

I've decided to pull the trigger on the 12 Pro - does anyone perhaps know of stores that have stock at the moment? This is for an upgrade on my Vodacom line. Tried phoning a few Vodashops already, waiting to hear from iStore.

Just thought I asked on here in case anyone knows.

I'm in the Western Cape, so anywhere in Cape Town / Winelands etc.
 
Anybody with a 12 on mtn that can share their experience on signal / call quality etc. I have a 12 pro max and for me this has been one of the worst phones in some time for dropped calls / general reception stability.
I’m often dropped to 3G on calls which generally translates to a dropped call. I wish I could pin it on a faulty device but core assure me it’s perfect. I’ve been tempted a few times to loose it.

Have the 12 Pro. Not a single issue around signal yet… am on MTB the Business package tho? (Corporate Consumer) Not sure if that makes a difference.

Also means I still can’t get an eSim just yet. Fml. Seems like the business contracts still don’t have access to eSims arrrgghh!!
