iPhone 13 discussions

I’d have to agree, I had the 3G many moons ago of course, and no Android keyboard ever measure up, as much as I hated iPhones until my reasoning became invalid, that was the 1 credit I always was willing to give them.

Swift came close, GBoard is a steaming pile of utter shot, but the iOS keyboard, baring the odd dictionary snafu, is the best by far, the only saving grace android has is the number row on top.

I also find that as a leftie I’m convinced iOS keyboard is somehow compensating for it where the others simply don’t, especially when it comes to whatever you call it when you draw your finger around from letter to letter and it makes the word for you.

Based on nothing but anecdotal experience.

Out of curiosity, why wait for the iStore when smaller stores get stock on a much more regular basis. Is it because of iCare?

It is mainly because of the process that iStore takes before reselling to the public. There are necessary steps taken that are prone to longer wait times. Their direct excuse is "Waiting for stock".

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. And what are those steps?

The iStore is just the biggest Apple outlet, so more feeders at a limited trough...

In my case, when I wanted to upgrade to a 12 Pro in June, none of the Vodashops I phoned had stock, and believe me I phoned a lot. iStore was the only store that had stock.

Getting iCare for free was a bonus

Anyone else here on the MTN waiting list?
How long have you been waiting?

Right, so I caved. Just transferred my WA messages using Tenorshare iCareFone Transfer. If my posts randomly start appearing in Chinese, you know why, but I’m at least now finally completely off Android.

I hate the fact that we have to jump through all these hoops due to WhatsApp, if they simply allowed us to use the same account across other mobile devices (not just WhatsApp Web) it would be so much better of an experience.

Definitely, I have to use one of the "apps" that mimic WhatsApp web on the iPad and it's a terrible experience, no notifications and long opening times mean I use it far less than I would.

I wonder if it has something to do with Apple and FB, sorry, “Meta” hating each other?

iMessage is still the number 1 messaging app in the US, and most people don’t even know what WhatsApp is. What baffles me is that it was possible to move stuff from iPhone to Samsung, but that now also includes other Android devices. So the technology is definitely there. It’s just impossible to do the reverse (well, via WhatsApp). And I think that may be intentional.

Just odd that dodgy 3rd parties with tiny budgets in comparison seem to have found a way ages ago (my experience was surprisingly smooth, by the way).

Apple iPhone 13 to be mass produced in India starting Feb 2022, trial production begins

Apple's been manufacturing iPhones locally in India for a few years now, and it will begin the mass production of the iPhone 13 in the Asian country starting February 2022, reports The Economic Times.

The publication claims that Apple has secured the supply of semiconductor chips required for the mass production and has already begun the iPhone 13's trial production in Foxconn's plant near Chennai, where the tech giant also manufactures the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12.

In addition to the Foxconn plant in Chennai, Apple produces the iPhone SE in the Wistron facility in Bengaluru, and as per estimates, the company manufactures about 70% of the iPhones it sells in India locally.

Producing the iPhone 13 in India should not only help Apple bring down the price of its latest iPhone in the domestic market but also help boost the supply overseas since 20-30% of the iPhones manufactured in India are usually exported to the global markets.

Did you notice anything funky in the transfer process? Considering this because exporting chats is insanely basic

Not really. Only slightly dodgy part was having to authenticate/sign into WA on my iPhone via the 3rd party tool, after which the messages started transferring.

Finally someone at MTN got stock of the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB. What a f$#&* mission! So much ass kissing!
