lol, as if it couldn’t get any worse. Found some time to setup new phone. Never had issues with previous Gen phones and data transferring but always a first I guess.
Have been trying to get through software update which has been on rotation for last hour, just keeps doing same thing on donor phone it’s says “waiting for software update” killed the update. Now new phones “Hello” screen does not allow to swipe up. Screen moves slightly and bombs out. Turning off phone also does not work. Hard reset does not work. About to loose my ****ing mind. I swear this purchase is cursed!

Sounds like you interrupted it after the update started, you might need to go into recovery mode and use iTunes/Finder.
Thought as much but iTunes doesnt pick up phone. Can't turn it off either and it is warm. Hard reset does nothing.

Phone should still go into recovery mode. You’re doing something wrong.

You should be able to put it into recovery mode before you connect it.

Possibly not, there was an update out of the box for the 16 series.
Jaa I was on BETA it just kept installing over and over, then went into a spiral mode.
