iPhone 17 Pro unveiled

Apple unveiled its latest flagship smartphones — the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max — at its "Awe Dropping" event on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.

Apple Worldwide Marketing senior vice president Greg Joswiak said the smartphones were rebuilt from the inside out to maximise performance and deliver an enormous leap in battery life.

The only reason that it doesn't matter is because Apple couldn't get it right.

If Apple intelligence worked as it was hyped up we would never hear the end of it. Now we have Gemini / Chatgpt wearing a Siri mask and all of a sudden the apple apologists are trying to convince us that it is the better option.

This iPhone Pro is really not the most attractive phone I have expected more in the looks department
Well I mean when has any of them been attractive?

I think I'll probably wait until Black Friday, and then get a new battery for my 13.

Google as well lol...
Despite having a mountain of personal data in Gmail, Keep, and other Google apps, I've seen precious few hints of Magic Cue. It once suggested a search in Google Maps, and on another occasion, it prompted an address in Messages.
Magic Cue never popped up. I did get it to appear once following a specific example Google shared, looking at a list of local restaurants in an article at Eater.com and then opening Google Maps. But even then it was a little slow with the suggestions, and though I had read only the first restaurant on the list – Publican – none of the suggestions Magic Cue made were for that restaurant. Never mind that I wouldn’t have found AI typing a single word into a search bar for me all that compelling.

I know everyone thinks that I hate Apple - but I think my iPhone 13 looks great out the cover. Sometimes I wish I didn’t have a cover …

This one I’d be glad for the cover

When it comes to things like RAM - do we need to wait for a tear down? The rumour is up from 8GB to 12GB?

I really don't get Apple and their weird ass decision making. They always take 1 step forward and another step back.

They finally get the normal iPhone spec right but then they purposefully decide to keep it looking like the old one (camera layout) so that they push you to a more expensive model.

Then the Pro model... Awesome unibody design and and horizonal bumps are good (stable phone when flat) but then they decide to add camera bumps to camera bumps and organize the layout in the weirdest possible way.

They really have a habit of doing something cool but then at the same time fusking it up.

Already confirmed.

Apple does not advertise RAM amounts in iPhones, but MacRumors has confirmed this information in the latest version of Apple's developer tool Xcode 26.

Here is how much RAM is in each new iPhone model:

iPhone 17: 8GB
iPhone Air: 12GB
iPhone 17 Pro: 12GB
iPhone 17 Pro Max: 12GB

Here is how much RAM is in the iPhone 16 models:

iPhone 16: 8GB
iPhone 16 Plus: 8GB
iPhone 16 Pro: 8GB
iPhone 16 Pro Max: 8GB

Already confirmed
Thanks.

When we all read that AI needs 8GB as a minimum - that was not from Apple, as they don't confirm?
Officially says 'it will on model x and won't on model y' ?

Gonna get me that orange 17 Pro for sure.
