Hi, i want do buy a get a iphone on vodacom, but use it with mtn. Will it work. Can someone please explain how i can make it work(the internet).

Let me see if I can break it down for you

1. Buy MTN sim card or use existing sim card.
2. Insert said card into iPhone.
3. Change or insert Network APN to "internet"
4. Next time check the iPhone tips & tricks thread. Did you honestly think this subject has been discussed before?

jirre almal wil oek net iPhones he

Hi, as far as I know, you can buy the iPhone on Vodacom for R185 pm. Now if you want to use your MTN sim card, you can, but just remember then your warranty / guarantee will be voided, and if anything should go wrong with the phone, you wont be able to return it to get fixed.

Thanx alot, and then what do you do there. Sorry i really dont know much

When you get the phone it will be easy to figure out. This is a device made for users to easily figure out.

I bought my iPhone from Vodacom, stuck in my MTN simcard - plugged it into itunes at it was set up and has worked perfectly ever since.

Ok, but i have worked on someone elses iphone. Should i have to take the phone somewhere to get internet or could i do it on my own. If so can you please show me how with alot of detail.

Can someone please just explain to me what to do. Please!

What do you mean? You put in the MTN sim card and that's about it. You can do this because our iPhones here in south africa are unlocked. If you get one from overseas, it's probably network locked, which means you have to unlock it.

Wow! Really. Is the internet gonna work too. Do you really have to change the apn. And if you do is there just an options that you can choose "internet".
