iPhone 3GS on ebay

Hi Guys.

I`ve been reading these forums for a couple of months. Decided to register and join in the fun.

It looks like no one has stock of the 3GS.

Have any of you bought one off ebay? There are a lot listed as unlocked,etc.

Is it worth taking the chance?

I have bought a lot of stuff on there without any problems before.

Don't know, the iphone is a bit tricky, even if they say its unlocked, what if its not? If there is not AT&T sim are any operator's sim which has basically locked the phone, you are stuffed, and you sit with a pretty expensive makeup mirror. I know there is a lot of people selling the iphone plus an at&t sim, but then the problem is everytime you upgrade you firmware you need to put the at&t sim back and then unlock again.

Just wait a bit, same thing happened with the 3G, but after some time it got back to normal

There's a guy on BidOrBuy called Rabuli that I can vouch for. Prices have risen - but he is trustworthy, and his phone are unlocked properly. You can unlock on OS3.0 and 3.01 using redsn0w / ultrasn0w without the need for an AT&T sim.
