Iphone 3GS Screen issue

Hey guys,
Need some help. I got a 3GS on 4.0.1, not jailbroken.
The other day my screen showed weird colours. Almost nagative, but not quite. The blues have turned purple and the yellows turn green. Everything else stays normal.

It sometimes goes away if you lock and unlock. I have checked, it is not the white on black setting in accesibility.

Has anyone ever heard of this before?

I figured an os update might flush it. So I updated to 4.0.2, but it still happens from time to time?

I'm concerned this may be a hardware issue...

I would suggest opening it up and seeing if the connectors are properly seated. There are 3. It's easy to open up and very serviceable, in my opinion. (although a little scary)

This is very simple, Press the home screen button three times and it will give you the following options " Turn VoiceOver On"; "Turn Zoom Off/On" and finally; Turn White on BLack Off

You will then select Turn White on Black Off

This should solve your problem

The White on black setting IS off as I said earlier.

Thanks fo rthe advice Synaesthesia, I've never opened it before and it is pretty scary. Willing to do it, but won't it be worth my while taking it to Core/Vodacom first? It's under a year old.

Yup, seems to be something like that. Just so weird that if I lock it and unlock it, it's fine.

Yeah since you're under warranty take it in. If you weren't I'd say open it up.
