iphone 4 is here

I'm happy with mine... definitely worth the R7400-R8500 asking price...

Is with utmost regret that I have to inform you that due to insufficient stock from Vodacom and Apple, we will not be able provide you with an iphone 4 just yet, there will be more stock coming in the next week and the few weeks after that.



We are really sorry for the inconvenience. The situation is completely out of our hands and we are doing everything in our power to secure more stock.

I will be getting my phone from mtn, they look like they have better stock

What was the point of pre signup and they dont order enough stock

Dear Leno

We pre-ordered 1000 units from Vodacom, we however received an allocation of 20 per region (WC / EC / KZN and Gauteng), unfortuantely Vodacom's launch order was cut to 1500 units with the majority of those units being held for Platinum and Onyx clients as well as the launch at Vodaworld.

We have been advised that another shipment is due next week, and we will then be able to hopefully complete all the pre-orders.

The situation is largely out of our control and we are trying our utmost to keep our customers up to date as we get information from Vodacom.

Fair enough, but then sending out the first email was jumping the gun a bit

Anyway I must be coming across as sour but you guys have actually made more contact than vodacom themselvs who i pre ordered when their form came up (months ago)

Is the iPhone from Vodacom riddled with that crap branding they do on other phones these days or stock standard and unlocked for all networks?

I will be going for contract, cash has been used up on the Ipad lol

Actually wondering now if there is any point to getting the iphone if im getting an ipad now? (with the new ios soon hopefully)

The camera would be nice - but maybe this is more for a separate topic

100% Leno, we getting about as much info on the launch as the public, so we just trying to manage customer expectations.

:D Managed to get an iPhone 4 from the Vodashop in Sandton Square last night at 12. Love the phone so far!

Only problem was that I forgot to get a micro sim... luckily I managed to cut my normal one down to micro sim size... and it works like a charm! :D
 
walked into mtn here in pe and an colleague and I both got iphone 4 16gb

They seemed to have a few more in stock, 32gb's were sold out in a few mins apparently
