I am a big BB fan and own a 9700 and a 8520.
I recently obtained a Iphone 16gb-local stock. I was very aprehensive at first and as time went by, i really became more happy with this phone. That is until i purchsed a Tomtom Iphone4 bracket and started using it.The iphone overheats about 10 minutes after you have docked it. So, i do not know if the bracket is c#$%p or it is the Iphone. Any opinions or advice please.

How not to be helpful ^

Well my guess is it's the bracket since the phone is fine on it's own.

Maybe its sunlight causing the heating problem

Hey guys, I don't like the name of this thread. A BB fan may interpret it as "iPhone for problems".

To answer some of the questions:
It is an IPHONE 4.
The bracket is the official TOMTOM bracket for IPHONE 4-not the modified version. Purchased at Makro last week.

I used to use a TomTom dock with my previous iPhone 3G - they phone got a little warm but nothing major... I can't test with my iPhone 4 'coz I gave my TomTom dock away to the parents...

When you use the GPS the phone does get quite warm. Coupled with the fact that when on the dash it's probably exposed to sunlight that will happen. I don't have a bracket but put mine below my dash (Audi) and it heats up quite a bit too...

Mine used to heat up a lot with a car charger plugged in (no cradle). Only warmed up a little with the TomTom kit so ended up using the TomTom kit all the time and not a car charger on it's own...
