iPhone 4 Reception problems

It's a iPhone 4 feature - people who suddenly hold the phone that way are either talking to Mother in law, a tele-marketer or people asking for a "favor"

iPhone 4 Reception issues

The metal trim on the iPhone 4 which turned out to be an external antennae system has resulted in major signal loss when gripping the phone "incorrectly"
*twitch* - first of all "antennae" is the plural of the word of the feelers with which insects, etc. are equipped*. Then, by referring to a system, you're describing a singular item so, correctly that should read: "an external antenna system" - the alternative would be "the external antennas".

*this gets contentious, but it IS more accepted as the convention than it is not.

Definitely a HUGE bug in this Apple!

It is contentious and I would argue that I consider "antennas" to be an Americanisation. Regardless, the point I was trying to get across was that it's a single system of multiple antennae/s, which in retrospect might not be completely accurate anyway (I don't think it's confirmed whether any of the other radios hook into an external antenna).

Also, to grammar nazi your grammar nazi-ing: I would probably have opted for the alternative, but for it to read correctly it would have to be something like "turned out to be a system of external antennae/s" or perhaps "turned out to be external antennae/s." The "the" has got to go ;-D.

Oh well... My poor choice of phrasing is now immortalised on the webonets for all time!

When Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone 4 at Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, he described the integrated antenna as "really cool engineering".

Bwhahahaha and i bet all the apple fans now feel cool because they have to hold their phones different to normal people :D.

Remember it's really cool to be different :D and it also helps signal strength :p

Lol that's why he experienced problems when demoing the phone!
Ha ha!

sigh just another way Apple's trying to cover up their mess, with the leak n everything else ... think they released to soon

I know it wasnt Apple's fault but they could have dealt with it much better ... Apple is to arrogant and controlling for an open market experience
