True hey - no word on when the iPad will hit SA shores. Well, I'm real happy with my iPhone 4 and my iPad ;)

Yea....rub it in, rub it in :D I am also extremely happy with my 3G 64GB iPad. I am not in any big rush to get my iPhone 4, my 3GS is doing the job. But I will want my iPhone 4 by January 2011 when my contract is renewed.
 
I have a feeling that the Ipad and Iphone 4 will be released at the same time

Read on google reader:

"Apple will be launching the iPad in several South American countries on Friday, September 17. According to the company’s Latin America Web site, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru customers will be able to get their hands on both the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi plus 3G models"

No SA though but that info is from the Latin America apple site

WM7?? What's that? Is it an iPhone? Ha ha :D

Guess I'm gonna miss the iPhone 4 launch seeing I'm sitting in Aus at the moment - not to worry, I have my iPhone 4 already - would've enjoyed going to the launch nonetheless ;) (is that just sad? - yes it is!)

That would be funny :D

But I doubt it, seeing as WM7 hasn't even been released internationally yet, and we all know Vodacom is at least 1 month behind all other countries in launching new phones / technology. I’m pretty sure it will be the iPhone 4 and perhaps the iPad.

PS. Also, I think the date of the 22nd is wrong, as far as I know, it’s Tuesday the 21st at Vodaworld.
 
Just spoke with someone from Cellucity and the phones are in the Vodacom warehouse apparently. They will be available mid week (after the 21st midnight launch party), already booked mine :D

Edit: And they just confirmed this via email as well.
 
Also just got an email from someone at cellucity to the same effect
 
My upgrade is due on the 3rd of October, given that you can upgrade 7 days prior to that date, the earliest i can upgrade is on Sun 26th :(

Waste money on a new contract or wait a couple of days for the upgrade and pray that they still have stock.

I am on every possible waiting lists, lets hope someone is prepared to keep one until Sunday or i might be using 2 VC contracts....

PS Seems MTN are keeping mum on this as well ????
