Howzit guys,

I am due for an upgrade on my Mtn contract and have the option of taking the iphone 5.

How much data do you guys use on average per month?

How do you guys rate the phone? Any issues?

I currently have BB 9780 bold which is a piece of $h1t!!

Thanks

Its a good phone nice size and very light. Personally, coming from Android I'm a bit disappointed. Still trying to figure out the functionality but some irritating points like turning on/off 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi is a bit of a mission. These 3 are some of the more power intensive functions that you want to control to improve the Battery life.

Depends on your cellco. When we got my wife's iPhone from CellC a few months back we found out that their in-bundle and out-of-bundle prices are the same. So you could just contract for the minimum and then pay for what you use. Against that, CellC's coverage is great in some places and not so great in others. I can barely hear her when she calls me from Richards Bay.

I use 1 gig... I used to use 250mb on prepaid? Hmmm, it seems to disappear like the wind.

In the last 5 months, (granted, this is on my iPhone 4s and not a 5) - I have never used more then 250mb.

Do you have Wireless at home?

Do you have Wireless at work?

I use about 250Mb per month having both WiFi at home and at work as well as using Waze (GPS) in my car every single day.

Thanks for the reply everyone!..

I don't have wireless at home and at work, so will be relying on my Network (Mtn) for data usage.

I'm most likely going to stick with a Top-up package and purchase data bundles as and when required.

Cell-C has the best deal on the iPhone but it's too much of a hassle to cancel my contract and port

Cell-C also have the cheapest Data rates than MTN. I'm switching to them next year when my MTN contract matures.

I'd go straight for a gig... and seriously think about getting wireless at home so you can let your iPhone stretch it's legs and load it to it's teeth with apps.

For those of you who say you use little to none, do any of you use instagram or twitter or even apps such as sports score apps or weather apps while out at a quirky coffee shop or in places where wifi is not available?
