Will keep you posted.

LTE launch offer SIMs use the normal 'internet' APN.Will your LTE use a seperate APN for access? I see that I use iphone.cellc.co.za at the moment, but other providers have a seperate APN. Will that be the same with you guys, and what is the APN name?
http://www.cellc.co.za/deals/lte/faqsAlso, will people who have iPhones with you guys get their data upgraded to LTE, is that automatic or will that happen already? I see that LTE data sometimes get bundles as seperate from 3G data.
The jist of it is that with a jailbroken iPhone you can load a custom carrier file, and I can override my phone to enable LTE for Cell C until it becomes "official".
I have my own LTE capable device, can I access the Cell C LTE network?
Not at this time.
We currently only offer DATA on our LTE network and are only offering LTE access via our launch offer
Please can we get some response from Cell C. That said, I'd rather get a well tested service than a half-baked one!
Vodacom has a working 3G network and their LTE sucks. Cell C has a terrible 3G network with spotty data, so adding LTE to the mix is just going to ***** it up even more.
How so? They're in completely different frequency bands.Vodacom has a working 3G network and their LTE sucks. Cell C has a terrible 3G network with spotty data, so adding LTE to the mix is just going to ***** it up even more.

You mean the backhaul links for a particular tower, or nationally?I suspect that they just cannot handle the data volume, frequency is irrelevant.

I think we're having two different discussions here.Everywhere, you can look in the Vodacom section as well. The phones with LTE (i5, S3 etc) end up getting a lot of no signal, which need an airplane mode toggle to sort out. The customer care is advising people to turn off LTE to stop this from happening.

I've had problems with Vodacom's LTE but my experience with Cell-C's LTE has been very good, even in areas where their 3G/HSPA is congested (using a modem, not a phone).Vodacom and Cell C are both having issues, whether it's tower or backhaul none of them are coming forward. Just that Vodacom is a better experience.
This is a function of user equipment to switchover. Maybe you mean forced switchover by the tower (when connection deteriorates below certain level).Guys, its the way they implement lte. Vodacom does not do auto switchover from lte to 3g when moving between these towers.
