iPhone 5 LTE support

I cut a micro sim to a nano sim. Sim was new, got it in Jan. Could it be the problem?

It could. Phone the call centre and ask if they provisioned that sim card. It doesn't auto provision I believe.

Called Cell C. They say its still in the testing phase and not open to the public!

iPhone 5 LTE active - how to get it?

Hi - how does one get LTE on the iPhone 5 - I see that the carrier settings got updated but I don't know what to do to get it...?

If you are in LTE area it will pick it up.

My LTE Cell C dongle stopped receiving LTE signal just before the carrier update, where before (when it got data coming through) the LTE was pretty decent (~45Mb). When it starts getting LTE I'll check if my i5 also says it.

I'm not impressed with the carrier update for iPhone5. It disabled the option to switch to EDGE and so far I havent been able to fore the connection to Vodacom. Both of these are essential since I have given up on CellC data during working hours in Joburg CBD.

I'm hoping I can downgrade the settings.

Thank Apple for that one.

If you restore from a recent backup you will get your old carrier settings back.

I'm toying with the idea of backing up my 14.0 carrier bundle via SSH so it can be repackaged for easy downgrades.

If your phone is jailbroken, you can remove the carrier update.

Add this repo in Cydia v.backspace.jp/repo/
it's the one that also has the commcenter patch, but just install the "Remove Carrier Update" package. You'll roll back to 14.0

yea this is BS,
Here in Midrand i never get 3G, so i switch to GPRS and it works fine, after this update all i'm getting is 3G which does not work.

I have the opposite problem - I always used to get 3g at the office here, and now I'm stuck on Edge - which takes 5mins to perform a google search..

I also noticed that crap...
So now im forced to be stuck 3G with this battery eating monster.

Already loosing 10% every 30mins and im not even using the phone.
