First iPhone foldable will have booklet-style design

Apple’s forthcoming foldable iPhone will include updates to the iOS operating system that enable iPad-like layouts and side-by-side apps for the first time, enhancing the device’s appeal for multitasking.

The product — Apple’s long-awaited entry into the category — will feature an interior foldable display roughly the size of an iPad Mini, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

With an organisation who sells headphones more expensive than a laptop, it's anyone's guess at this stage. But if this is an attempt at a new addition to the yearly iPhone line up then it surely can't be too far out of reach.

Look at the neo pricing. We're a couple hundred rand cheaper than the UK price. Since UK pricing seems to be a symbol swap with US pricing a $2k/£2k price should come in at R41k.

It's going to be interesting to see how this is going play out for Apple. Majority of popular streamers/influencers regularly flash their Pro Max's, I somehow don't see an iFold replacing that.

Maybe Apple will position it as a 'business' phone. I suppose Samsung tried the same with the Fold.

Imho, for most content creators, iPhone makes a lot of sense due to how good video is on iPhone, having that spare video recorder on hand. This is besides US phone market being dominated by Apple.

Pixel 10 Pro/XL finally supports DCG and has 12bit RAW support (only via extra app at the moment, MotionCam Pro), but it's not as easy a workflow (more compute intensive and stuff), tbh, would be the only "true" competition in the US, and they have mini stutters still swapping between lenses.

EDIT:
And Samsung is definitely positioned as a business phone btw, here all larger companies give an A series phone to employees if they need a company phone for OTP and stuff, we're talking thousands of phones in one of my previous companies.
Fold is not a business phone yet, unless you mean price point target, you can argue it's a fashion accessory, same as iPhones often are.
