iPhone 5 or S4

That's the answer I was waiting for. I just got the wrong phone. Well, I'm putting iOS7 onto my 2-year old specced 4S tonight so thankfully I don't have to deal with that worry anymore.

I was trying to do 200km/h in my mothers 1.2 Renault Modus yesterday but it didn't want to go past 130 km/h. Screw Renault, their cars are slow. I'm moving to VW.

I'm so sorry you bought an Android. So sorry.

Xperia V is not a slow phone. It is current gen specs.

iOS 7 must be riveting on a 800MHz processor and a 3.5" 640×960 display.

I can see where the confusion came from. Apple used to have only one model iPhone and Android has hundreds. Just wait for the announcement that iOS 8 is only going to be rolled out to the 5C three months after it gets rolled out to the 5s.

Funnily enough the impression of performance on this phone is much better than the Sony. I'm not sure what the point of this conversation is though. I'm very happy that I made the move. If you feel to tell me all about what a mistake it was, you're talking to the wrong person.

The Xperia V was never touted as a high end device.
Sure it was. It's identically specced to the T with a higher PPI screen. There's no rational reason it couldn't have gotten 4.2 at least.

I'm not implying you made a mistake. I'm happy for you, your 4S and your iOS7. :)

And you get... 4.1.2.

You bought the phone from Sony. They have not yet released an updated firmware for your phone.

Just because you are impatient does not mean there is something wrong with Android phones.

Apple announced iOS7 a few months ago, and it still did not arrive on the 2 iPads in my family. That does not mean there is something wrong with Apple or iOS. I have to wait until it gets pushed to the devices in question.

In my case, I'm expecting to get Android 4.3 on the S4 next month. It's already available on some other phones and my tablet. That does not mean there is something wrong with Android.

That's a valid point, if I had had any expectation that Sony themselves would have ever released an update. There was certainly not a peep from them. And from my back experience carrier updates can happen, or not happen, if they remember that they still sell a certain phone and oh bloody hell ok stop whining here's your Jelly Bean.

Look in actual fact at the end of the day I didn't have to flash the rom on my phone. I was trying to make it work the way I wanted to and I can't see that I gained any additional functionality by doing so. I just eventually came to the conclusion that I didn't really like the Android experience and that's the end of it. Things didn't work the way I wanted to.

Speaking of which why do Android complaints always have to be sandboxed off as the manufacturer's fault, or the user's fault, or as anything other than Android's fault; if not to satisfy the ego's of fanboys?
