iPhone 6, 6 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy S5, Note

Know i'm going to take a lot of flack for this, but I really don't care about the camera in a phone. As long as its good enough for taking a quick photo of something to send to someone else or post on facebook its OK. For everything else I use my Canon EOS. They can give the phone a 200MP camera for all I care, but a proper lens on even an entry level SLR is still the best way to take proper photos. IMHO at least.

But do you really carry that SLR all over with you?!
Some of the best pictures are the candid and unexpected ones....

Specs doesn't matter. Blah blah everything works so well together. Blah blah build quality. Blah blah it's Apple.

I am kind of shocked the iPhone 6 has just 1GB of RAM...only the 6 Plus has 2GB of RAM, and just 8MP camera...doesn't the iPhone 5S also have an 8MP camera??

Well they dont matter on their own.
The correlation isnt linear

But no-one knows how good it is yet...
I dont and you dont

Biggest disappointment for me was the camera, I know megapixels are not the only measure of a camera so I'll wait for some shootouts before I choose my next upgrade.

The 6+ has a really weird shape though, seems to long.

Cars: The Lumina SS has a 6L V8 engine, and on paper it blows everything else out of the water. But it has very little features, and the ride and handling is about the same as a Citi Golf.

this could get interesting.... :D

I gotta say that i was disappointed with the bigger size screen. And nothing that was announced overly excites me... But these devices do look pretty... everything from apple does :-) And I'm sure I will get used to the extra 0.7" in screensize.

Do I read this wrong, or is nearly every spec on the 6 and 6+ is inferior to that of the Samsung equivalent?

I like my 5s. The software works differently, feels different than Android devices. Lets wait for it to be in shops...

If you're the sort of person that buys something like this based only specifications.

Real world tests need to be done before anyone can say which model of any phone has superior or inferior specs. The only area I'm genuinely disappointed about with the iPhone6 is the screen resolution as I feel you really can tell a difference above 326ppi if you have good eyes for reading, which I do. The A8 processor benchmarks put it ahead of the Snapdragon 805 though, and the camera despite being 8mp is likely to be of an exceptionally high quality - just because it would be very surprising for Apple not to improve on their camera (and they were willing to let it jut out of the phone so awkwardly). But between 1080 and 2560 I don't think you'll see such a difference, particularly if the quality of the screens used on the iPhone6+ are excellent. Then again Samsung is doing some wonderful things with Super Amoled these days, which I didn't anticipate.

Don't get me wrong I think the 5 is perfect, it's my current phone. I don't think you'll be able to do that with a 6 though and definitely not with a 6+ so why keep them that long. Will wait until they're in the shops so I can feel it in my hands.
