iPhone 6

Most likely around the same time as last year, unless Apple puts us in the 2nd wave of shipments, then sooner.

Price? I have no clue, most likely around the R500 mark for the 4.7inch, don't know about the 5.5inch (if there is one).

They always arrive just in time for Christmas. If they were to come as part of the 'second wave' of release probably early-to-mid November. Apple never charge more for their updated devices. Prices go up due to the Rand/Dollar exchange rate. So if the Rand doesn't weaken any further than now, pricing should remain the same. (Although Core Group will probably soon drop the price on current iPhones to dump stock to make place for the new phones - FNB already has)

Yes prices are coming down.Telkom mobile has dropped their prices and also MTN I believe.

I am keep on the iPhone 6 and I think I am due 1 Apeil 2015 I think so that should work out perfectly. Let's see what the price is then. If I have to drop the amount of airtime I get thats fine. I am just keen on the iPhone right now :D

Just over a week and a half now until the suspected announcement.

How long once it's released does FNB get wind of it i.e. iPhone 6?

Normally when they launch here FNB features them in the following month. Probably not in time for our festive season. Although I can't wait to see what Apple has in store for the new iPhone. Only one and a half weeks to go! :p

I did a bit of Googling. Both the iPhone5 and iPhone 5s were released @ $649 so I think the iPhone 6 might go for the same price.

iphone 5 R/$ 8.50 +- R400 pm
iphone 5s R/$ 10.33 +- R530 pm
iphone 6 R/$ 10.60 +- R550 pm

Apple just announced a special event, read that as iPhone 6 launch, on September 9th... Will go to tier one countries first, we're third or fourth tier.

Lickable is a reference to how Steve Jobs described the Aqua interface ;)
