iPhone 6

I'd say more like 0.1% are legitimate.

5% if we include user error.

Agreed. The problem is still there, although for a small quantity of devices and this means that if Apple US can help customers, Core should too.

The US only sorts it out under warranty if it's definitely not user error - they don't move straight to that judgement without assessing the device

Well I can promise you that it definitely not user error. It's been in an UAG armoured case for the last 6 months precisely to give the phone more structural support. I always am careful to take the phone out of my pocket before I sit down at a desk, table or in the car. I've babied this phone so I genuinely have no idea how it got bent. I can only assume that the with the heat wave and the general heat lately that it was simply too much when walking around with the phone in my front pocket, even though I don't wear tight or skinny jeans.

Sorry for your loss but there was quite obviously a stimulus to becoming bent, you're just not aware of it or able to recall it. Things don't just bend. In fact your case may have even led to it.

Anything is possible I guess but I will try to escalate it and see what happens. The bend occurred at the volume buttons where it's structurally the weakest point. I will see what happens otherwise I will consider claiming for it as it is insured.

I was pleasantly surprised when contacting 'Apple' support locally the other day. Routes your call to Apple USA it seems (not Core Group). Support was the best. It may be worth a shot if you haven't tried already. Though ultimately I suppose it's up to Core as to whether you'll get a replacement or not.

It's a tough one because these phones are more than strong enough for normal use. I also very much doubt it is a unique batch issue. Simply comes down to the differing usage between different people.

Thank you, I will give this a try.

Agreed. The problem is still there,

If you mean the 6s, I would say for all practical purposes the problem is gone, even deliberately trying to bend it seems almost impossible for a single person to do without using tools or other implements. Apple seem to have made it bombproof after the bad press from the 6.
