I don't think people applied pressure for the fun of it or sat on their phones but I could be wrong, iPhone users are a completely different species.Shock horror, apply pressure to metal and it bends, just like was able to be done to the 5 or 5s (or any other metal framed phone). What do people think will happen when you apply pressure to a thin piece of metal?

It's a good thing that the Note 3 didn't bend the same way as the iPhone. Apple just might have sued Samsung if it did.
The IOS 8.1 update will fix the problem.
Many mentions of back pocket but the guy in the video specifically mentions bending in front pocket. Anyway, the frame could have been strengthened in the design phase and likely will be for future devices.
