I can upgrade to a new phone this week and the struggle between choosing Apple or Android is real.

I have never owned an Apple product and don't know what it is like.
Android is much bloated for me and has a laggy feel on every single android device.

I will root/jailbreak the device if I have it.

How much time does it take to learn and understand iOS and is it a "nicer" operating system to have?

My preferred cellular provider is Telkom, MTN, Cell C, Vodacom in that order if it makes any diffirence in prices - quality of service etc.

The Galaxy S7 Edge won't be laggy - from what I can tell it is extremely fast. It is still bloated though. If you want to use Android in it's unbloated glory, get a Nexus.

My Nexus 6P is, without a doubt, faster than an iPhone 6. I haven't played much with an iPhone 6s though.

These days, jailbreaking is not necessary on iPhones. If you're not liking android, try the iPhone. They're both brilliant

I completely agree. Neither will be a mistake, and it boils down to personal taste in the end.

In my case, there are a few small things about iOS that I don't like: Scrolling friction is too high, which results in slow and cumbersome scrolling when websites/lists are large. I also find the settings menus a little confusing (coming from Android), but I'll probably be able to get used to this. Another issue is that some buttons are so small that I have a hard time pressing buttons, even though I have average sized hand for a man.

That said, I think Apple still designs some of the best phone-hardware available right now. I have not held an Android phone that feels better (and more premium) in the hand than a iPhone 6/s.

That S7 camera looks great.

I'm looking to order a S7 Edge 32GB Duos (dual sim) within the next few days.

I only use dual sim phones, so Apple won't do it for me.

Where do you order from exactly and at what cost?

This^ besides annoying itunes policies these days most phones are very similar in what they can do,I don't sync much movies etc on my phone so I don't mind using an iphone and I like it because the looks and build quality are great, however I hate ipads because it's a nightmare when you need content on your ipad storage(streaming is simple enough when you have a good connection).I use an android tablet instead.
