Never noticed it using an Apple leather case. :)

May be hot because it's been working hard on its first day of use?

Yes, has not been that hot after running updates and completed installation , but when it does get hot, hotter than any iPhone I've experienced. Thickness might have something to do with it.

Careful using it bareback, hey.

If it's still running hot the day after updating and you aren't using it for processor intensive things like games I'd consider doing a full restore through iTunes, mine is cold to the touch most of the time and only gets warm with normal use.

But bareback feels so good. :(

It does! Using my iPad Air naked, almost 2 years later and still not a scratch...phew...but granted I only use it in bed. My iPhone has a cover on though, because obviously it goes with me everywhere and in and out of pockets etc.

Bareback...naked...in bed...are we still talking about Apple devices? :)

In UAE, in every shop and every small kiosk in even the smallest malls, iPhones are falling off of the shelves. They are everywhere. I wonder how or why SA is forever running short of the things?

Because SA sell very very little compared to the rest of the world. No one wants to sit with stock, so they order only a couple at a time.

Think Vodacom might(?) be 'involved' as well... they (iStore) pertinently asked if I am looking for a cash-to-buy iPhone, or a contract phone. Upon the latter, had to specify the Mobile Provider as well.

Pretty sure (ok - working on a hunch) that had I said "cash", they would have had for me. Think Vodacom etc. possibly 'provide' specific phones that are probably linked to the Vodacom back-end of things, for the purposes of their keeping track of upgrade activations in the iStore. Vodacom's probably channelling the bulk via their outlets, and iStore picks up the leftovers...

But hey - that's my 2 cents, using the Force to pick up invisible signals down the phoneline. That, or they just don't have stock. Which eitherways, is making me feel like a 5-year old a week out from Christmas...

As to expected 6s Contract prices have increased (for MTN). 24 month options stayed the same; 36 month options went up....

For comparison the 36 month prices of the Sammy Galaxy range went *down*; granted new model not too far off.

Don't blame Apple, blame the people ruining its brand in this country...

Well, this time, it's Apple. While I dislike Core as much as the next person, they don't manufacture or do quality control on the actual manufacturing side.

Anywho - problem resolved with the replacement I received. *Relieved*

Can anyone rate those QDOS glass screenprotectors that iSTore sell? Looking for one for my 6s Plus.

I currently have a cheapie from Takealot, but it seems to not stick well right at the edges. So it looks not too well. Maybe because my first attempt was a bit off-centre, and I pulled it up and re-glued it.

Thinking I should maybe get another cheapie and just NOT do it wrong the first time. LOL!!! :)

Yes, they're the best. Money well spent.
