iPhone 6s

You are missing the point.

In older benchmarks the difference was 31% (58 vs 44) but now all of a sudden it is 62% (130 vs 80).

Not missing any point. You've clearly missed what they changed in the benchmark. But here, have a looksy:

New CPU Testing Added
The employment of multi-core CPU caused the incompetent of actual using experience and hardware limiting performance. In view of this situation, Antutu V6.0 adjusts CPU testing items and adds several new one, based on practical use with more pratical meaning. Antutu found that in most cases, only one core is doing work and many applications are poorly supported by multip-core.We increase the proportion of single core test significantly. All these will make the testing results be more realistic.

New Score Proportion in Antutu V6.0.
The proportion of CPU+RAM : UX : 3D design to be 1:1:1. The proportion of 3D and UX items have been increased. Proportion of CPU and RAM have been decreased.

So yes, the performance gap will be more now.

I'm not really bothered by that hey. I actually would like to know who has a 16gb iPhone 6s/6s Plus & how are they managing?

Are they kicking themselves for not spending/paying more or maybe 16gb is adequate for their cloud & streaming needs?

Lots of people get the 16GB because it is all they can afford, but still wanted an iPhone. You will seldom get a thruthfull answer from those people.

Personally the 16GB devices make good development devices, since you need to keep many of them at various firmware levels due to Apple not allowing you to rollback.

But on a 6S if you are going to be taking videos or photos or use as a daily, no.

Yeah, 16gb will have you constantly looking over your shoulder.

It's doable, if you prepared to install the bare necessities and are prepared to cut and paste your videos and pics, once a week, to a pc/mac.

I have the 6s 16GB, and its fine for my needs. I don't store videos nor do I store music. I have 6.8gb free on it at the moment.

Fine for lighter users. Which most of us are not. Really not a big issue.

Don't monitor usage on my 64gb 6, as I know it's well within bounds but just out of interest... looks like I could make do with 16gb... just...

I wouldn't mind a nice big 64gb, but the cost was not justifiable. Considering It would just allow me to store more pictures, when I already have 64gb SD card for my Nikon, so made little sense.

Well, if you buy outright, then it's what? About R1500 more? I haven't really priced these things but on contract the monthly difference was roughly R70 I think? And diluted over 24 months...

32gb was always the sweet spot for me, mind you.

Yeah true, perhaps it was a bit impulsive on my behalf, they didnt have 32gb or 64 in stock anyways. But I'm still happy with my choice.

They've dropped the 32gb variant.

I've had a 64GB 6 Plus and barely used the space. Got a 16GB and it was not a problem. My 6S is also a 16GB and I'm happy :). 5.5GB available.

I don't store all my photos on my phone (I only have 3/4 months on there) and I stream music.

Cool stuff...so we can establish that the 16gb base model is "workable". It very much depends on the individual user's needs. It can work; its not utter garbage as the press makes it out to be.

So how are you liking your 6s relative to the 6 Plus?

Worth paying the fairly big price diff?
