iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Getting my 7 Plus this afternoon... all reserved and waiting for me. :-)
 
Dont see the point of this pre order thing. They say "be the first to recieve it" but you seem to be last. I walked into the shop by 9 a.m I had my iPhone 7 plus on hand no pre order!

Yeah, it is actually pretty pointless..

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they leave your order until last since you've already paid - rather try get new sales with the stock instead.

I've pre-ordered so many phones and only once I received as I should. Never again.
 
And to think there is so much stock available and you guys have to wait till next week.

I think pre-order made sense 2 or more years ago now the hype has died & people realise these things are expensive and no need to rush.

2 iPhone 7 Plus (say you take for you and partner ) actually cost over R45 000 minimum over 2 years on contract.

But guys do not worry.. it's just hype.. it's just a cellphone. Got mine in the morning didn't even bother opening the thing it's just sitting there. I'm texting on my S6 as we speak!
 
Had a plus reserved... went to collect and they game it away. Istore clearwater... nice!

In my impatience I bought one this morning at istore. I'll send the preorder back when it arrives next week. Won't be bothering with preorder again. Lame!
 
Doesn't bother me. Mission to actually go to a shop. Monday it is.
 
Aaarghh..

Ordered the 7+ 128G from Vodacom online as my upgrade. First iPhone I've owned since the very first one.

It arrived today - earlier than I expected. Only.... she made a mistake and I received a 7 non-plus. Nooo....

So now apparently I have to speak to the agent who did the order in person. She has to arrange to have this unit collected. Then I guess when it comes back they have to re-process the order. And no doubt the launch stock will be gone.

So I've gone from having the phone on launch day to what no doubt will be a frustrating couple of weeks with lots of long holds in the queue trying to get my phone.

What a disappointment,

I waited 4 hours, 20 minutes in the queue at Mall of Africa's new "flagship" store.

I have no idea what the hold-up was, but they were literally processing 1 contract every 30 minutes...

Finally got my 128GB Gold Plus. Now I have something to cuddle up to tonight ;)

I'm not even opening mine as yet.. will just admire it in the box for now! Soooo happy..

Pity with the people who pre-order.. I don't know why for the life of me people bother with that process.. I would rather wait in a 5 hour queue and walk away with a correct phone than risk getting a wrong order or wait days or even weeks to recieve!

I can imagine recieving a black phone when I orderd gold. It's a nightmare!

It's that intricate!

I dont know, by the 3rd hour i was getting ready to either cry or hurt someone :)

It seems there was a lot of paperwork on top of the online application with the Telco's. I guess its because iStore is an agent of sorts not a full representation of the mobile companies like a "branded store" or SP.

Either way, its done. You need to open yours some time :)
 
Lol will do it tomorrow. In full glory of the light of day :-)
