iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Spending over R500 on a case will be a tough one for me, but then again it's for a R15000 phone. Is the Apple Silicone case more of a harder stiffer material or is it just a pap jelly type case? Does it form a rise over the screen allowing you to place the phone screen down on a desk. Just more on how stiff and supportive it is, if the phone is not in it, is it for example possible to fold the case in half, or is the case too stiff for that?
Sorry for the questions but silicone makes me think of the POS jelly type thing offering no protection which I had on my iPhone 4s back in the day.

It is a rigid case. It wont bend. Its just coated in silicone to make it a bit more grippy. It has a nice felt inlay to protect against scratches etc. and it is raised a little bit so when you place he phone down, either screen first or back first, there is a lip to protect it.

The Uncourage is a keychain to keep you from losing the iPhone 7 3.5mm adapter

Okay, not only 'there's a dongle for that', but now there's a keychain for that dongle. The Uncourage (Apple's #courage, counteracted) is a simple keychain allowing you to carry your iPhone 7/7 Plus Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter around without losing it.

The remarkably low-tech solution to a previously non-existent problem consists of a key ring with a 3.5mm plug attached to it, and that's it. It's also priced accordingly - $6 a pop, but getting a 3-pack will run you $12 total, and 10 pieces come at half price, if you're shopping for the entire family (and/or have dozens of keys).

Ok after reading a few case reviews I decided that I want the same case for my 7 as I currently have on my 6, the Speck Presidio Grip case. Now only to find a place in SA which stocks it, everyone has the normal Speck Presidio and the glitter ones, but no one seams to be stocking the Grip. As mentioned I had no issues with my current one so far, it has been doing just fine and works for me. Not that it's too bulky, but if one thing, I would have preferred a slightly slimmer case and from what I read they made the new one for the iPhone 7 20% slimmer.

Body glove has a full edge to edge tempted glass protector which I've bought and also apple leather case online from the myistore site. Thing is I ordered a sea blue leather case and ended up getting a red one. Not a train smash but to those ordering online just take note

Got it, iPhone 7 128 GB matt black, busy updating to iOS10.1.1 before I can restore. Home button is a bit weird at first but cool, I'm sure I'll be use to it in no time.

The trade in process at iStore is a mission and a half, they are very full of $#$$ and check every little detail of the device you are trading in. You are actually suppose to make an appointment if you want to do a trade in because they need to inspect the device, but I convinced them that I'm quite busy and the one tech remembered me from a previous time, so they squeezed me in.

They check everything from whether it can make calls, whether the cameras work, wifi, Bluetooth, all the different sensors, inspect it top to bottom for scratches etc, I'm sure they have at least a 30 point check list. My iPhone 6 passed and they said it's in brilliant condition, if it passes the second test at their tech centre, I'll be getting back R4700, not R5000 because I didn't have my original charger and cable.

So far all I can say is that the speed is impressive and the touch sensor works much better than the one on my old 6.

A question, it seams in order to activate iMessage and Facetime for my phone number a conformation SMS must be sent to my phone however I'm not receiving this SMS. Anyone else had this, how did you get it activated?

Thaught I would be fine without a case for a week or 2 while sourcing the exact one I want, but this thing is slippery, I almost lost it 2 times already, I won't make it, my nerves.
Amazon seams to be the only option, a friend is going to the UK in 2 weeks but the case isn't on amazon.co.uk, it's only on amazon.com, if I ship from Merica to SA the total will be just over R900. Anyone with a alternative idea how I can get hold of that case?

If looking at the range of accessories in SA, it seams there is only a single importer bringing everything in then selling to the different places, because if looking at all the different stores, everyone basically has the same stuff. For example with the Speck Presidio cases, everyone only has the clear and glitter ones, but no one has the Grip which is the one I want.
I tried Takealot, Loot, iStore, Macnificent, iToys, Digicape, but nothing. Everyone has Speck but no one has Grip.

Go to one of the local cheapo stores and buy a R50 silicon job in the meantime. Just until you get what you want.
