its just a guess anyway, the photos can only go so far, like gaming, tv and cinema everything has a 3d version.

Well I'm using the gmail app anyway on Android so that is fine.Pretty poorly. If you want push notifications google forces you to use their gmail app or pay to add Exchange support to your account.

No 3D is not the same as DoF. 3D would need a whole other screen technology. depth of field is like this:

I think he is referring to the HTC one m8 camera which could do post capture DoF as well as "3D photos" which would allow you to rotate the subject in the captured photo, to an extent.
The thing is the OS really wants you to use Mail.app.

Gmail mails come through instantly when Mail is open or if I swipe to refresh. When Mail isn't open I've never has any issues with mails not arriving soon enough. In other words personally I've never had a need for them being pushed.
I have no desire to leave mail.app open all the time or to manually refresh. Who does that?
In my books push surpasses fetch… which incidentally is 15 minutes at its shortest interval and has proven to be too long when assignments are handed out on a first reply basis.

Not sure, I've never had to.
Which is understandable. So HavocXphere needs to decide how critical this is. Or just use the Gmail app, as plenty iPhone users do.

I have my personal email address in the gmail app set to push, and my work email in the native mail app set to manual refresh only. (I've got plenty of jobsworths in my company sending emails at all times of day and night)

That's a rather poor approximation of what the One M8's DoF can do if all the stars are aligned:
Unfortunately there were so many issues both software and hardware with the M8's implementation of its Duo camera system that it didn't work as well as it should have.

i was thinking maybe the marketing might go towards 3d pics, seen adverts and heard things like Brawler mentioned.

They all steal, great for us consumers. What's most important is implementation, which Apple always gets right.

You don't need 2 lenses, but you need a higher quality lens than you would typically find in a smartphone. However HTC used 2 lenses to achieve the same effect, which was quite a clever idea. If this is Apple's plan, you could hardly call it original but in the end it would create some really cool pictures which is all that counts.
