Yeah, we actually don't pay that much for iPhones here.
And people always seem to forget that the $999 price tag in the US is before sales taxes - because each state has different 'VAT' rates.

Too bloody expensive. Just not worth it.
On a side note, I assume wireless charging doesn't work with a cover on the device? For me wireless charging will never really gain traction because of that. 90% of people I know don't use their phones naked.

Read a number of reports saying it will. Depends on thickness of the case but vast majority said to be fine.
