Really?

It used to be like that but now you really need a manual to show you how to use it. 3d touching the flashlight for brightness, how wifi doesn't turn off etc. It isn't intuitive anymore.

Hmm. If you don’t know how to use the above, you must be an old ballie new to iOS . Don’t mean this in a bad way.

The base layer of the OS is still the same at it has been for 10 years and therefore remains as intuitive, which is precisely why there aren't icon packs and extra fonts and other complications.

I wouldn’t say icon packs or the ability to change fonts would cause complications. Why do you think that it would?

Of course it would because by its very existence it’s more complex than it currently is without it.

It adds a whole other layer of unnecessary nonsense and crap to support.

Now every app needs to make sure it works with every font etc, which means it takes longer to develop or is just bad because they don’t.

Longer to update etc etc.

Saw all that crap happen during Windows Mobile insider phase.

Less is more.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with you. The font is just fine and we don’t need more. But that’s you and me. Some folks enjoy their comic sans

Anyway, I remember the jailbreak days where I installed a tweak that would allow me to change the main system font. It worked just fine. I agree within apps etc it would just cause issues which in turn would cause unnecessary headaches/time/money for devs.

I have had the iPhone8Plus256 now for 2 weeks and am extremely happy with it! Battery life is great, feels extremely smooth/quick, photo's and video amazing!! I still prefer touchid over faceid, thus the reason I got it ;-) Previous phone: Samsung Galaxy S8.

You can easily replicate the good old Home button on your iPhone X

Do you already miss the good old Home button on your shiny new iPhone X? If so, you have several options ahead of you. You can either suck it up and live with it, return your iPhone X, or replicate the Home button by using the AssistiveTouch accessibility feature to replicate the functions of the Home button.

On your iPhone X, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch, and turn the feature on. This will bring up a virtual button that you can relocate anywhere on your screen.

This virtual button truly shines as a Home button replacement when you start customizing it to replicate the functions of its physical counterpart of yesteryears.

In the Custom Actions section, make sure you map the actions in this way:

Single tap takes you Home
Double tap opens Multitasking (App Switcher)
Long press invokes Siri

The Home button is not coming back, so I’d personally recommend adjusting to the new way to interact with iOS, but if the transition is too hard for you, the AssistiveTouch feature will sure help you easing into it.
