You should have waited a few weeks.You cant really find them in the apple stores - stock sells out in 15min ;(
Problem is they carry duties, and US sales tax in most places, so they are a lot more expensive to import than people realise (if you bring it in legit).

Thats not entirely true... you should be able to pick up a legit 8GB iPhone for around 4k... thats the current going rate.

legit iPhone in SA? perhaps its not stolen but its not legit in terms of being unmodified, as there is no such thing as an unlocked iPhone sold by Apple... not yet anyway![]()
